Anchoring technique

Find an uplifting experience, situation or comment where you felt empowered, confident, validated, appreciated and secure about your future

Close your eyes and feel those feelings, see what you saw, hear what you heard.

Give this feeling a colour and a sensation.

Now boost this feeling, pump it up – so it goes from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes.

Then choose a place on your hand, wrist or elbow and press firmly, anchoring your feelings in that place.

Continue to feel those feelings while holding this place for 10-15 seconds, then gently ease the pressure and open your eyes.

Repeat a few times, installing other meaningful memories, using the same place.  With each new uplifting experience, practice the same technique.

When needing to boost your confidence, access this place and feel those feelings released to support you.
